Awakening the Conscious Leader

Objectives:

By the end of this program, managers and department heads will be provided with:

  • The skills required to be a conscious leader of highly performing teams
  • A clear pathway to integrate personal leader development with team development for effective results
  • Tools and techniques to transform potential conflict into a celebration of diversity and innovation

The course comprises two components:

  • Consecutive 5-day workshop series in London
  • Live teleseminar coaching program comprising 5 teleseminars building on concepts learnt in the workshop and applying learning to the workplace

The intensive program will provide managers with the following knowledge and practical skills. The coaching program will expand this learning, focusing on people management and leadership. Key elements of the program include:

  • Leadership behaviour – the precursor to conscious teams

  • Leading by example – ‘walking the walk’
  • Developing and maintaining personal integrity
  • Leader as mentor

Level 1 Program Format:


20th – 25th April 2009 Awakening the Conscious Leader - 5 day workshop

Stage 1: 5 – day workshop
The program commences with a 5-day workshop in London with delegates drawn from a variety of organisations. The program is highly interactive and creates the context to develop your leadership skills whilst celebrating individual styles and culture.

Stage 2: Teleseminar Coaching Program
Delegates leave the workshop with a program of on-going development through live teleseminar training. Delegates will receive one hour training per month as a group, encouraging interaction between individuals from the workshop. Topics will focus on key issues that delegates raised in the workshop. Each teleseminar will comprise:

  • Leadership training and application to the workplace– 40 mins
  • Questions and Answers session on applied topic – 20 mins
  • A total of 5 teleseminars (one per month) will be run in the 5 months following the workshop i.e. May – September 2009. Two teleseminars will be presented by the workshop tutor and three will by three international experts in leadership.
  • Teleseminars dates will be advised in advance of program commencement and will be recorded so you can download them and listen to later.
  • A teleseminar is a live audio event which can be accessed in real time via your telephone. Listeners benefit from being able to access events from the comfort of their own office without the time, effort or cost of travelling to a live event.
  • Delegates on this program will have an opportunity to extend their learning to Level 2 – The Art of Conscious Leadership.
